Main Window

The main window shows two lists of song titles, a menu, and function buttons:

Songs available

The song titles in this list are songs that are available for printing. Clicking on a song title in this list will highlight the song and allow it to be added to the print list. A label at the top shows the total number of songs available. The list is sorted alphabetically; song titles that begin with "A," "An," or "The" are sorted by the second word in the title.
Note: to add all songs in the list: click on the first song to select it; then scroll down and while pressing the shift key, click on the last song.
Also note: Songs selected in this list are available to the Instant Full Screen function.

Songs to print

The song titles in this list are the songs that will be printed, shown in printing order. Clicking on a song title in this list will highlight the song and allow it to be moved up or down in the printing order, or allow it to be removed from the print list. A label at the top shows the total number of songs selected for printing.
Note: right-clicking on a song in this list will open a pop-up context menu, which allows the assignment of unique transpose and chord settings.

Add >>

When a song or songs have been highlighted in the "Songs available" List, this button will be enabled. Pressing this button will add the currently highlighted song(s) to the end of the "Songs to print" list.

<< Remove

When a song has been highlighted in the "Songs to print" list, this button will be enabled. Pressing this button will remove the currently highlighted song from that list.

<< Remove All

Pressing this button will remove all songs from the "Songs to print" list.

Up

When a song has been highlighted in the "Songs to print" list, this button will be enabled. Pressing this button will move the currently highlighted song up in the print order.

Down

When a song has been highlighted in the "Songs to print" list, this button will be enabled. Pressing this button will move the currently highlighted song down in the print order.

Mini-preview

This pane shows a mini print preview of the most recently selected song from either of the two song lists. It serves as a quick reminder of the text and chords of a song. This pane can be hidden.

Function Buttons

Print... / Save Text... / Save HTML...

This button causes Songsheet Generator to send the songs in the "Songs to print" list to the desired output destination. The button text changes depending on the current destination.

Full Screen

This button switches to the Full Screen Presentation mode.

Window Title

The window title bar changes its appearance to provide a hint that the current songbook has been modified, but the changes have not been saved. On Windows, a star (*) is appended to the end of the filename. On Mac OS X, the close button changes its appearance as is typical for Mac applications.
